Buy Backlinks That Build Real Authority

I'm Nikhil Batra, and link building is where my whole SEO career started. Back in 2022, while I was still finishing my graduation, my first ever project was building links. Watching a page climb because of work I'd done hooked me for good.

So if you want to buy backlinks that actually move your rankings, and you want to know exactly what you're getting, you're in the right place. Here's where that journey has got me so far.

Those links went to all kinds of sites, from small local businesses to established online brands, and every one of them started with the same question: what does this site actually need?

Don't just take my word for it. This is my Fiverr profile as it stands today.

My Fiverr seller profile, September 2026.

Every one of those 977 orders was a real person with a real website. The reviews are public, so you can read what clients say about working with me before you send a single message.

Your content is good. It just needs someone to vouch for it.

Tell me about your site

I focus on four kinds of links. Each one does a different job, and most websites need a sensible mix rather than a big pile of one type. Tap any card to see what's inside, who it's for and how I handle it.

Whatever mix you choose, I plan it around your site and your goals, not around whatever placements happen to be cheap this week. That's the difference between buying links and building a link profile.

Edu and gov backlinks icon

Edu and gov backlinks

These are links from .edu websites (universities, colleges and schools) and .gov websites (government departments and public bodies). They're hard to get, which is exactly why they stand out in a link profile.

I'll be straight with you: a link isn't powerful just because the domain ends in .edu or .gov. What makes a good one valuable is that the website is old, carefully moderated and rarely spammed, so a genuine mention there carries real trust and authority.

Who shouldn't start here: if your site is brand new with only a few pages, these are rarely the best first spend. Build the foundation first, then add them once there's real content for them to support.

I only use placements where your link genuinely fits the page, and you'll see every one of them in your report. If anyone promises you a link from a specific famous university for a few dollars, be very careful.

Best for: established websites that already have solid content, especially in education, health, finance or any niche where credibility decides who gets the click.

Web 2.0 backlinks

These are free, high-authority publishing platforms like Medium, Tumblr, WordPress.com and Blogger. Each link is a proper article I publish on one of these platforms, written around your topic, with a link back to your page.

Done badly, they're thin, spun posts nobody reads, and they get ignored. Done properly, each one is a useful piece of content with real formatting, images and a link that sits naturally in the text. That helps with brand signals, discovery and link diversity.

I write each article to match your niche, so it reads like something a real person would publish, not a block of keywords wrapped around a link.

Best for: supporting your most important pages, building topical relevance around your subject, and strengthening your other links as a second layer.

Profile backlinks

Profile links come from setting up a proper brand profile on established platforms: industry communities, business directories, social networks and professional forums, each one listing your website.

They won't rocket you to page one on their own, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. What they do well is lay a believable foundation: a spread of trusted domains that mention your brand, which is exactly what a real business collects over time. They also help search engines connect your brand name to your website.

I set each profile up properly, with your real brand name, description, logo and website, so it looks like a genuine business presence rather than an empty placeholder.

Best for: new websites, brand building, and balancing out a link profile that leans too heavily on one type of link.

Local citation backlinks icon

Local citation backlinks

Citations are listings of your business name, address and phone number on local directories and map platforms, from Justdial and Sulekha to Yelp, Bing Places and industry directories.

For a local business, consistent citations help search engines trust that your details are real and correct in local search, which supports your Google Maps rankings. I make sure your details match everywhere, because a listing with an old phone number sends customers to a dead end. I can also clean up existing listings that show old addresses or numbers, which is often just as valuable as adding new ones.

Best for: local businesses, service-area businesses and anyone working on their Google Business Profile. It pairs perfectly with my GMB optimization service.

Ask about local citations

You can mix all four in a single order, so you never have to commit to just one type.

Links have been part of how Google ranks pages since the very beginning, and they still are. Google's own spam policies say it uses links as a factor in working out how relevant a page is. AI answers haven't changed that. If anything, they've raised the stakes: tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity pull their answers from sources search engines already trust, and well-linked sites tend to be among them. My AI SEO services cover that side in more detail.

What has changed is how picky it's become. Ten years ago, you could throw thousands of junk links at a page and watch it climb. Today those links get ignored at best, and they can drag you down at worst.

That's why quality backlinks will usually do more for you than a much bigger number of weak ones. A page with twenty strong, relevant links can easily beat a page with two hundred poor ones. And links on sites with real traffic can send you actual visitors, not just ranking signals.

How search engines use links as votes

Think of every link to your website as a vote. When a trusted website in your space links to you, it's quietly saying: this page is worth reading. The more genuine votes you collect from the right places, the more confident search engines become that your page deserves to rank.

But votes aren't equal. One link from a respected website in your field can outweigh dozens from random blogs with no traffic and no readers. That's why I care far more about where a link comes from than how many I can hand you in a report.

Links also help your pages get found in the first place. A new page with nothing pointing to it can sit undiscovered for a long time. A handful of good links gets it crawled, indexed and on its way.

Search engines also look at the words around a link and the page it sits on. A link inside a useful article, surrounded by text about your topic, tells them far more than a bare link buried in a footer.

Relevance beats big numbers

The biggest mistake I see is chasing numbers: 500 links for $5, websites with a huge DA score, links from anywhere that will take the money. None of that matters if those websites have nothing to do with you.

A bakery in Raipur gets more from a mention on a local food blog than from a random tech website with ten times the authority. Relevance shows who trusts you, not just how many.

So every placement I choose has to pass one simple test: would this link make sense to a real reader? If the answer is no, it doesn't go in, no matter how good the metrics look.

Cheap links cost you twice. Once to buy them, and again when they do nothing.

Talk to me first

Here's something most people selling links won't tell you, so I will.

Google's spam policies list buying or selling links for ranking purposes as link spam. It can ignore links it believes were bought, and in serious cases it can take manual action against a website. So when someone promises you 100% safe paid backlinks, they're not being straight with you.

At the same time, plenty of websites that rank well have had help getting links, whether that's outreach, digital PR, sponsorships or sponsored posts. The real question isn't whether money was ever involved. It's whether the links you end up with look and behave like links a real business would earn. If you buy backlinks at all, how you do it matters far more than whether you do it.

What Google says about paid links

Google's position is clear: links bought to pass ranking credit break its rules, and it wants paid or sponsored links marked with rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow". It has also said its systems try to neutralise unnatural links rather than simply punish them, which is why cheap bulk packages so often do nothing at all.

The people who get burned are usually the ones who buy links in bulk from anyone offering a low price, point them all at one page with the same keyword, and hope for the best.

I'd rather you hear that from me now than find out after spending money. If your website is brand new, has thin content or has a history of spammy links, I'll tell you to fix that first. Links amplify what's already there. They can't rescue a website that isn't ready.

How to buy backlinks for SEO the right way

If you decide links are part of your plan, here's how I approach buying backlinks responsibly. These are the rules I stick to on every order:

  • Relevance first: every link has to fit your niche, your topic or your location
  • A mix of link types, so your profile looks like a real business, not a bought package
  • Anchor text that's mostly your brand name or URL, with exact-match keywords used sparingly
  • A steady pace instead of hundreds of links dropped in a single week
  • No automated link software and no private blog networks
  • Links pointing at pages that deserve them, backed by genuinely useful content
  • A full report of every live link, so you can check each one yourself
  • Honest advice when links aren't what your website needs right now

Stick to those rules and you're building the kind of link profile real businesses have. Ignore them and you're gambling with your rankings.

The right links, from the right places, at the right pace. That's the whole secret.

You'll run into these terms everywhere once you start shopping for links, whether from freelancers, marketing firms or marketplaces, so here's what they actually mean in plain language.

Guest posts are new articles written for another website in your industry, with a link back to you inside the article. They usually involve outreach to the website owner, content writing and an editor's approval. Done on real websites with real traffic, they're one of the strongest links you can get. Done on websites that exist only to sell posts, they're close to worthless.

Niche edits, also called link insertions, add your link to an article that already exists and already has some age and authority. The upside is you skip the waiting. The downside is that quality varies wildly, and a link squeezed into an unrelated paragraph helps nobody.

Paid placements through a backlink marketplace let you choose websites from a list and pay per link. They're fast and convenient, but those websites are often selling to hundreds of buyers, which creates exactly the kind of pattern search engines are built to spot.

Whatever you buy and wherever you buy it, check three things first. Does the site get real organic traffic? Does it publish content in your niche? And does it seem to sell links to anyone who asks? If it fails any of those, walk away, however good its metrics look.

My four link types sit at the foundation of all of this. If your campaign also needs guest posts or edits to existing articles, message me and I'll tell you honestly whether they make sense for your site and what to watch out for.

No mystery and no black box. Here's exactly what happens after you message me.

Site and niche research icon

First, I study your site and niche

Before I build anything, I look at your website, your niche, the pages you want to rank and the links your competitors already have. That tells me which link types you're missing and where they should point.

I use tools like Semrush to see the links you already have, which pages carry the most authority, and which of your competitors' links are worth matching. There's no point building links you already have plenty of.

It also tells me when links are the wrong fix. If a page has technical problems or thin content, I'll say so, and that might mean starting with my on-page SEO services instead. Links work best when they point at pages that are already worth ranking.

Link placement check icon

Then I build and check every placement

Once we agree on a plan, I build your links at a steady pace, mixing types and anchor text so nothing looks forced. Every placement is checked to make sure it's live and pointing to the right page.

For bigger campaigns, I spread the work over several weeks, so your link growth looks the way real growth does: gradual and natural, not a sudden spike.

If a link doesn't meet my standard, it doesn't count toward your order. I'd rather deliver fewer links you're proud of than pad a report with ones that embarrass us both.

Live link report icon

You get a report of every live link

When the work is done, you get a full report in a spreadsheet: every URL, the link type, the anchor text and the page it points to. You can open and check every single one yourself.

If you have questions about any link in the report, message me and I'll explain why it was chosen. You should never feel like you've paid for a list you don't understand.

After that, keep an eye on your rankings and traffic over the following weeks. Links take time to be discovered and counted, so don't judge the results in the first few days.

Every week you wait, a competitor is collecting the links you could have had.

Pricing that fits your budget

Every website is different, so I don't believe in one-size-fits-all link packages. Pricing depends on the link types you need, how many you want and how competitive your niche is.

Profile and citation links are the most affordable place to start. Article links on publishing platforms cost more, because each one needs real content. Edu and gov links sit at the top, because they're the hardest placements to get. A sensible first step is a small custom mix, then building from there once you see how your pages respond.

Tell me your website, your goal and your budget, and I'll suggest the mix that gives you the most for your money. If your budget would do more good somewhere else first, I'll tell you that too.

My pricing is simple and transparent. You'll know exactly what each link type costs and what you'll get before you pay anything, and there are no hidden extras added at the end.

Be wary of anyone selling thousands of links for the price of a coffee. Those links are almost always automated, spammy or both, and they can leave you with a clean-up job that costs far more than you saved.

Why site owners work with me

You're not hiring a company with a sales team and a rotating cast of freelancers. You're hiring me. I'm the one who reads your message, plans your links and builds them.

You'll talk to me directly on WhatsApp, from the first message to the final report. If something isn't clear, you ask, and you get a straight answer from the person actually doing the work.

Link building isn't a side service for me. It's where I started, and I still think it's one of the most misunderstood parts of SEO. That's why I'd rather build fewer, better links and explain every one of them than sell you a big number that does nothing for your search visibility.

Links are also only one part of your marketing. If I can see that your site needs better copy, faster pages or a stronger Google Business Profile before links will pay off, I'll tell you, and I offer those services too.

I also work white-label with agencies that want reliable link building services for their clients. Same standards, your branding, and no awkward surprises when their clients check the links.

A link builder from India since 2022

I'm based in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. I started learning SEO during my graduation in 2022, and I began selling link building on Fiverr that same year.

Over time I expanded into on-page SEO, local SEO and AI SEO, but links have stayed at the heart of what I do. Today that adds up to 977 completed orders and a 5.0 rating, with clients in the USA, South Korea, China, Norway and many other countries. I work in Hindi and English every day, and my Fiverr profile lists Spanish, French, German and Italian too.

If you'd like to learn how I think about SEO before you hire me, I share tutorials and case studies on my YouTube channel. No sales pitch, just what's working for me right now.

Frequently asked questions

Are backlinks still relevant in 2026?

Yes. Search engines still treat links as one of the ways they judge how relevant and trustworthy a page is, and AI search tools tend to cite websites that are well known and widely referenced. What's changed is that relevance and quality matter far more than volume. A handful of quality backlinks from the right places beats a mountain of spam every time.

How much does a backlink cost?

Anything from a few dollars for a basic directory listing to a few hundred for a guest post on a strong website with real traffic. Price alone tells you very little. A cheap link from an irrelevant website is money wasted, while a pricier one from the right place can pay for itself many times over. Message me with your website and I'll give you an exact quote.

How can I get a free backlink?

Create something people want to reference, like original data, a genuinely useful guide or a free tool. List your business on trusted directories, set up your Google Business Profile properly, join industry communities, and ask partners, suppliers and happy clients to mention you. Free links take longer to earn, but they're worth building alongside anything you pay for.

How long do links take to work?

Most links need a few weeks to be found and counted, and the effect on rankings usually builds over one to three months rather than overnight. It depends on your competition, your pages and how strong your site already is. I'll give you a realistic timeline for your niche before you start.

Is buying backlinks a good or bad idea?

It depends on what you buy. Cheap, irrelevant, bulk links are a bad idea: at best they're ignored, at worst they draw a penalty. Carefully chosen, relevant links that fit a believable link profile can help a website that already has good content. I've laid out the risks honestly above, and I'll always tell you if I think links aren't the right move for you.

Ready to give your content the links it deserves?

Send me your website on WhatsApp. I'll look at your site and your competitors, then tell you which links would actually make a difference. No pressure and no obligation.
